As much as I appreciate your sharing i would respectfully ask that you just reply to a topic about your sites contents instead of creating a new topic every time. Replying will bump it to the top as well.
Thank you!

Dr Funk, thx for posting the Tony vid. I get more pleasure out of seeing that guy play than seeing or hearing VinnieWecklNovakChambers play. there's a certain fire that they might have a bit of, but not quite 50% of what Tony had.
His musicality was so focused, clean phrases and a highly developed technique.

DrF -- Many thanks AGAIN for these great videos! The Virg and Tony excerpts are the BEST I've seen of either. U da man, DrF...

In the solo on the 79 clip, I hear a lot of Bonham. I wonder who was influenced by whom. he was slamming in that clip, brought a smile to my face.

Yeah, it's all about Tony in those clips. That guy was sick. I love it in "quintessential Tony" during the trading when he does that blazing single stroke crescendo (while still staying in time). That's so bad-ass.

MAN...I saw so much Bozzio in that Quint...Tony clip. He seemed to hold his sticks pretty far back. Does anybody in here play with them big ol' Black Dot heads?
